Music Teacher - Part Time

Castle Montessori Schools academic philosophy is based on authentic Montessori principles for students who are infants (6 weeks+) to lower elementary age (3rd Grade). Montessori principles rely on core values that guide the daily practice of the school, focusing on independent learning activities, developmental curriculum, and a respectful community of learners engaged within a carefully prepared environment. We are looking for a part time music teacher to join our school to teach music lessons during the morning hours and private piano and voice lessons in the afternoon hours.

Castle Montessori Schools part time music teacher position starts in August 19th, 2019. This position requires the teacher to rotate between Castle Montessoris five campuses. Our campuses are located in Carrollton, Flower Mound, McKinney, Frisco and Plano, Texas We are looking for an educator who is excited about working with young students, toddlers through 5th grade. The ideal candidates should enjoy combining movement and/or theater to teach creative expression, and can incorporate both choral and instrumental elements into instruction. The person is also in charge of Castle Montessori Schools annual school wide music recital performance performed at each location.

The Music position also serves our elementary age students with a focus on music appreciation within a global context, musicianship, composition, instrumental skill development (ukuleles, xylophones and rhythm instruments) and performance. We want students to enjoy making music as individuals and a part of a group.

Applicants should be organized, possess people skills, show initiative and a high level of engagement with children, and be upbeat and energetic.
