Early Learning Institute has three child development centers located in Palo Alto, San Jose and Pleasanton and two private schools (1-8), located in Palo Alto and Pleasanton. The centers and schools offer five-day-per-week, full-time learning and care programs. They operate year round on a business calendar to accommodate working parents who want a learning focus in a loving environment for their children. The hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Teachers work an eight-hour day, 12 months per year. They have paid holidays and paid time off. Head teachers have non-teaching time to accomplish their management duties. The learning program at the centers and schools is a fusion of the HeadsUp! approach and Montessori curriculum. Both employ structured early learning activities and materials and emphasize individual choice and responsibility.
