Teaching Montessori

The author of this blog was first introduced to the Montessori method in 1971 when she was a little girl; she attended a Montessori class until she was six years old! For the past 12 years she has worked with children in a variety of settings, and is definitely the most comfortable in a Montessori environment.

She loves children and has a passion for early childhood education. She's been deeply involved in childcare for the past 12 years - brightening the lives of her own children and many others. She loves working with children and watching their joy as they discover and learn new things. The children really light up her day, and it makes her feel proud to know that she has played a part in their development - that's hugely rewarding. Year after year, she continues to enjoy all of the children in her class, their work, their individual expression, the way they grow and change (or not change), and the way they feel safe and happy with her. The children make the work she does easy and fun! She speaks 4 languages - Portuguese, English, Chinese and French! She is also an Art teacher. When she's not at school, she spends time with her husband and her three boys.
