Head Teacher

The Junior Academy is a U.S. based revolutionary pre-school enrichment program aimed at building fundamental skills of young children like communication, self-esteem, leadership, teamwork, application of knowledge, creativity and a life long love for learning. Its curriculum is delivered via an interactive whiteboard through DVD based lessons ranging from Astronomy to Economics. The academy is staffed by an international faculty in a purposed built American Academy located at 3F-1C, Bangsar Village 2, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100, Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA.

HEAD TEACHER

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a qualified Montessori candidate with experience of classroom leadership or experience of senior management. The job of the head teacher is to manage our pre-school program and teach children using the interactive whiteboard or to assist teachers to do so. Reporting to the Academy Director, you are responsible to provide input to the program and materials procurement and classroom set up, mentoring teachers, liaising with prospective parents, scheduling classes, teaching, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of the students. Activities of students include experiments, video taping and uploading of presentations, role playing and non-aerobic physical movements.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education major.

2. Must have strong credential in the Montessori teaching philosophy for children ages 3-5 years (Montessori Certification).

3. Dynamic and creative person with high expectations and a proven record of raising attainment.

4. Have vision with proven leadership, management and leadership skills.

5. Applicants must be willing to work in Bangsar, MALAYSIA.

6. This is an immediate vacancy for Fall term 2011.
